James “Jim” Donovan, is the co-founder and CEO of ADEC Innovations. With over 25 years of experience in global business services, sustainability, impact investment, and finance, he has played a pivotal role in expanding ADEC Innovations to 35 cities into 22 countries across 6 continents, now employing more than 4,000 people.
Jim also chairs the Global CEO Alliance, an international nonprofit accredited by the United Nations (UN) ECOSOC, which unites business leaders, governments, academia, and civil society to advance the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Additionally, he serves as the Executive Director of UNITAR CIFAL Center in Beirut, Lebanon, and as a Director of PACT Inc., a Washington-based international non-profit focused on developmental work.
In his spare time, Jim likes to engage in outdoor activities like biking, sailing, and horse-riding. He also enjoys discovering new places, experiencing different cultures, and meeting new people during his travels. Additionally, he cherishes the moments he is able to spend with his granddaughter, Anita.
